For the final episode in our summer health series, we’re talking about two areas: anxiety and depression and grief and loss. We talk about how anxiety and depression manifest, things we can do when feeling anxious, and how to tell if we should reach out to someone for help. Counselor Katy Moyer also shares how she has walked through a significant loss in her own life, how to be there for a friend who is experiencing grief and loss, and how she helps others who are experiencing the devastation of losing a loved one.
Katy Moyer is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate at LifeCare Counseling and Coaching in Raleigh, NC. She is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. While her areas of practice include anxiety, depression, grief and loss, women’s issues, relationship issues and life adjustments and transitions, she has a special interest in working with clients who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss, including miscarriage and stillbirth, as well as primary and secondary infertility.
